We were asked by Quigley Design Associates and the Johnson GEO Centre in St John's Newfoundland to fabricate a scale model of an Ares 5 rocket.
The rocket measures 24'-0" long, but had to be transported efficiently to St John's, so it was shipped in two pieces. The front portion telescoped into the rear portion and was locked in place with a 1/8 turn for quick assembly on site.
It was hung from the ceiling from 3 points by the GEO Centre's crew.
A very cool display, which was very entertaining to fabricate.
